[RC] [RC]pig squels and fences - L gin

Hey, don't make fun of my fences!!!!! >VBG< only mine is from "errant" labs and terriers....Amazing what adding a perimeter of "Petsafe" electronic dog fence did for our fencing problem.... logs wired to the bottom of the fence with fence wire are on the list too....
Course now we are building a "terrier in,coyote out" dog run from the back door of the new place to a yard for the "terrors...."This little voice keeps telling me, I 'should trench the fence and maybe consider putting in concrete edging..." but my normal voice says"nah, maybe they won't try to escape ....and if they do I can always add the "Petsafe elctronic fence system" later...dont' forget to pack it...

And to make this endurance related....Remember Matthew Mackay-Smith's old
analogy about how you apply stress to tear the bone down, the the body
comes back and lays down more bone to make it stronger? Well, my version
of that lecture for this region is to imagine the green horse's bone as a
nice new hog fence. You put the hogs in and they get out...so you tie a
pallet to the fencing in the spot where they got out. Then they get out
again and you pile up concrete blocks in the hole. Each time the hog
damages the fence you build it back stronger until you eventually have a
hog proof fortress made of car bumpers, tires, blocks, tree stumps, etc.
etc. :-)
