By the time I get
a few blankies and a booster pad under the saddle, the saddle is no 
longer> near his body, LOL, but nothing touches or rubs.

This reminds me of someone I met who claims he "hovers above the saddle"
to keep the weight off the horse's back. I just haven't figured out how
to pull off this weightless thing myself.


What I need to know is what endurance or Aussie saddles have
**forward** leathers and no knee pads ?   :-)

If the stirrups are "forward" your torso will be "forward" to get over
them (as in a proper jumping position.) Good for jumping, but a killer on
the lower back after hours in the saddle.
