Re: [RC] beet pulp warning - Linda Nichols

Title: Re: [RC]   beet pulp warning
I don’t understand why this problem would be restricted to beet pulp. If the horse had something packed into his guttural pouches, why was it beet pulp and not hay or grain?

Here's an FYI:
One of my horses is coming home today after having been in the hospital for almost a week because he had beet pulp in his guttaral pouches. This horse(who does not bolt his food;he dines) and my others have eaten well soaked beet pulp with no problems for years.
They are not getting any more...ever!
