The Technical Committee - specifically members of the committee Russ
Humphrey and Bob Morris - have added a neat new feature to the AERC ride
calendar.

Google recently allowed access to their mapping application and it's
been added to AERC rides where we have GPS coordinates for their

basecamps.


Here's an example where you can click on the details for the ride - and
link to the map

or you can go directly to the map at

http://www.doublejoy.com/erol/calendar/rideMap.asp?rideID=3726

Another sample is

Bob Morris has requested that ride managers or riders at a ride send him
GPS coordinates for the basecamps.

If you email him these coordinates at bobmorris@xxxxxxxx - more rides
can have a map added.

If you check the upcoming rides for the 2006 season - the word map!!
will be next to the ride name in the calendar where we have coordinates.
