RE: [RC] [RC] Was question for legal eagles--now helmet story - heidiso far, only one person has said she won't come because of the helmet rule. Others have told me they are glad I said this because now they will be more aware of wearing helmets when they ride in general! This past season, I've sponsored a new-to-the-sport junior rider. She had never worn a helmet before competing in our sport, and had to buy one so she could do so. I got her into the habit of wearing it on conditioning rides as well. And guess what--the other day she came off of her horse (not riding with me), and her head struck a rock--she walked away from the accident with a sprained wrist, a broken helmet, and an intact brain and skull. Hallelujah! She expresses her thanks to a sport that made her wear a helmet and got her into the habit...
