[RC] question about weight classes - Mom Alexander

I am a newbie, (sort of...starting over after a 20 year layoff) and I was filling out my entry for a ride, and came across the weight classes part (I don't remember this part from long ago) anyway, with my tack I am right on the edge of featherweight and the next one up depending on what saddle I use, or what clothes I wear , or whether or not I've done my poop for the day!  Should I just go into the heavier class to be sure? My husband said "just lose 10 pounds and you won't have to worry about it", Right! (Like it's soooo easy to lose 10 pounds!)
Do you get weighed at every ride? And how strict are they about it? And, do you also weigh all the crap in your saddle bags etc.,?    Thanks!              Vicki
