[RC] Need help choosing a horse? - Laura Hayes

Every year I go to the Addis auction (formerly at Tattersals in KY, this year in Springfield, OH) and watch over 300 purebred and partbred Arabians go through.  The horses at this auction are fabulous - this is not your run of the mill livestock auction---the auctioneers are wonderful and the horses are truly represented.  Many times they are excess horses from breeders who just can't bear to see an empty uterus in a mare!!  Most times you can buy a health, well started 5 or 6 year old for well under $2000, and sometimes under $1000.  Of course they have no trail experience, as most sellers are show people, but there is some merit to that aspect also...most have not done enough to ever hurt themselves.

Every year I have bought at least one horse--I am horsed out (a 14 yo, 9yo, 5yo, and 2yo) and can not buy anything else.  At this rate I won't need another endurance prospect for at least 10 years!)  BUT, I would still like to go the auction, therefore, I am offering myself out to help pick endurance prospects.  My credentials are the coach of the award winning 4-H horse judging team in our county- I am a farrier, and a vet assistant, plus my endurance experience---price is very fair and privately negotiable.

Any takers?  I am not going if no one wants me---can't afford to be tempted to buy a horse---let me help you buy the horse I would have picked out for myself!!
