I've heard tell that the rider has to keep a positive attitude.  Your horse probably gets crabby because he senses anxiety in you. How you change that is something you might work on?

Eeeek. OK, I am signing up for 20 Mule Team 100. Wow, for some reason this feels harder than my first skydive - because you don't know my horse when he gets crabby - he quits!

>NO PROBLEM!!  Crews are not necessary; you only have to have your trailer moved at Tevis not the other 100s; and you're much less likely to get lost because (a) you're going slower so you have time to look for markings, and (b) at night glow bars are easier to spot than those ribbons are in the daytime!
