[RC] older horses-newly gelded - Ed Kilpatricklast year i gelded a 17 year old stallion. i decided to geld him because his behavior had gotten somewhat erratic. gelding him revealed that he had testicular cancer. not only did we likely save his life, he has settled down and become a very nice gelding. he handles very well in a crowd, on the trailer, etc. i would say that there is a good chance your older horse will do well.
