Title Effects of heat acclimation on sweating during graded exercise until
exhaustion
Full source Journal of Thermal Biology, 2005, Vol 30, Iss 6, pp 437-442

The aim of the present study was to test the hypothesis that the sweating
during graded exercise until exhaustion in a temperate environment would be
greater after heat acclimation. Six healthy young males performed an
exercise-heat stress acclimation protocol during 9 days. Before (PRE) and after
(POS) the acclimation protocol they performed a graded exercise until
exhaustion and the sweat loss during exercise increased after acclimation (3.94
1.10, PRE, and 4.86 1.70gm(-2)min(-1), POS; p < 0.05). The results showed
that daily prolonged exposures to exercise-heat stress increased sweating
during a graded and short duration exercise in a temperate environment.
