Hi Dyane,

I couldn't get your address off the e-mail you sent, so had to post to RC.

I had new shackles put on the truck. It lowered the back end of the truck about
two inches. I didn't have the means to do the job myself, so had a shop put
them on. I still didn't get the clearance I wanted between the truck rails and
the bottom of the trailer, so I had the trailer raised too. I had a frame and
body shop do the work and ended up raising the trailer about 2-1/2 inches as
well.

Now the truck and trailer set level and I have about 13 inches of clearance
between the truck rails and gooseneck.

You mentioned you will have less then two inches of clearance between your
truck rails and the gooseneck; is your truck raised up or is it factory? Even
the eight inches the factory quoted you isn't a lot of clearance, especially if
you go off road at all.

Send me your e-mail address if you like and I'll be glad to try and answer any
questions you have.

Diane
