[RC] Trailer Weights/Living Quarters - mkrumlaw

Simply stated....

All trailers are weighed as they come off of the production floor and
that's the weight stated on the trailer. The trailer manufacturer is not
necessarily the one who will be adding floor mats, livingquarters, and
other items to the trailer so they have no way of knowing the final
weight. Most living quarters are installed by a third party and never
come back to the plant.

Whenever purchasing a trailer be sure you've researched both the trucks
towing capacity and the trailers *loaded* weight. It's a mistake many
people make.
