==========================================

I know that NATRC has someone that works lobbying for trails in D.C. I thought
i'd heard of AERC folks involved in that effort.

Another thing / place you can look to for land for trails is land grant
universities, like vet colleges, often they have thousands of acres and if you
smooze them right the find a great relationship with trail riders as tenders of
their land. we work on land owned by Oklahoma state U. here's a link to their
equestrian trails and we are developing camp grounds etc thru use of grants
from tourism, and trails with natrc grants and hoping to figure out how to put
in for an AERC grant. the grants don't pay for everything, takes lots of
volunteer hours, but it's a beautiful place.
