I know Susan G just had to treat about 12 horses in CA that
coliced because of this kind of human stupidity. Those Nelson Waterers are sure
nice with a gravity style filler, but with any waterer, I'd want some
cover/shelter shade on it just to ensure a nice place to drink and
refresh.
I'm saving up for a Nelson for next year. For now we'll be
doing our" by hand" stuff for awhile.

Just by looking at the picture, that metal "pad" at
the bottom of the bowl, looks like it would get really hot in the summer sun.
Would YOU push against it with your lips to get water more than once, if it is
hot????
