Been there - it's a great place. Once you've been there, you'd never
mistake
any cut Eastern forest for old-growth. It takes hundreds of years to get a
grove of trees that big.

and according to Save the Redwoods League:
"Out of the original 1.97 million acres of redwood forest, approximately
95.5% have been logged and 95% of the original range is still redwood
forest.
Approximately 88,650 acres of the original 1.97 million acres of redwood
forest is old growth (4.5%)."
