Re: [RC] Training advice (backing up thread) - Jo Ann Knight

This was a sound I missed till I got hearing aids! Not the louder stuff
but the more subtle sounds. Now I just hang out and feel blessed that I can
now hear all the little sounds I had missed for years.
I was born with limited hearing but of course it got worse as I got older.

I can't imagine anyone calling it disgusting, but then I was taught smacking
your food at the table was disgusting, so it is a matter of perspective.

Oh, I just loff the sound of horses munching hay. Especially in the winter,
when everything is quiet and calm and it's nighttime, and you can see their
breath and you hear crunch crunch... all's right with the world!

And I loff the way horses smell! I can just bury my face in a horse's neck
and breathe... It's a better smell than puppy breath, even!

stand out in the pastures with them. I'd check them

dark and listen to them eat and breathe. It really
helped me unwind from my day.

I brought my husband out with me one night to share
the experience, but he said they made disgusting
noises when they eat. Non-horse people. What can you
do about 'em? ;)
