[RC] gaited horses - Marinera

Having ridden Peruvian horses thousands of miles I have to put in a good word for them.  I cannot remember ever being uncomfortable on one.  I do not think their four beat gait and the greater lift of the front feet required any more energy than used by a trotting horse.  My Peruvians were trail horses and would not have done well in the show ring where a more exaggerated gait is expected.
