[RC] Zayante - Bruce Weary DC

Nick--
Great story with a happy ending. Zayante has certainly earned his stripes, and deserves a great retirement. My wife and I have a policy that we don't campaign a horse after the age of 20, no matter how sound and willing they are. If they haven't been successful by then, they never will be. And whatever they have accomplished by then won't be noticeably enhanced by what they can accomplish after the age of 20. We believe any horse deserves a happy comfortable retirement, and that sometimes they still have qualities that a non-endurance rider (and the horse) might enjoy but be denied if the horse is asked to continue down the endurance trail. Omner is a great example of what I'm talking about. Good Luck. Bruce Weary
