Check with your vet to see if he has Pigeon Fever. If so, either the
= vet can lance it or you will have to let it take its course and break
= and drain on its own. We had a horse one time that had it inside his
= sheath and it was very painful to him.
This was my first thought also. If you haven't
dealt with Pigeon Fever (dryland distemper) before, read up on it. It's so
important to keep the bacteria from contaminating the area or being
inadvertently transferred to another area and/or horses by hands, grooming
tools, shoes, etc.
