[RC] Frisky Old Horses - Tina Rushing

[someone wrote: "Every bit as active?" You truly have some amazing
geriatrics. I have never seen a 25 yr old horse romp and play in pasture...]

At the farm where I board we have a 30-year old retired endurance horse, Oh
Kaye. She bombs up and down the hills, bucks like a bronc, spins like a
top, and thinks she is Queen of the Wind. I have been acquainted with 2
other Arab mares (not endurance horses) in their late twenties that would
lead the herd in a pasture romp and would open an extra-large can of whupass
on any horse that dared to challenge them.

Based on my very limited personal exposure to geriatric horses I would
suggest that frisky, fiesty old Arabian mares may not be unusual.
