RE: [RC] [RC] Women's Group - Christina McCarthy

Steph has brought up a great point, besides the conditioning of the elite horse athlete, what about the rider? I think is would be just as interesting to speak about what we rider's do to be at optimal shape as our equine partners...it's not just about how the horses do on a particular ride, it's also how well we do as attitude is everything....I eat correctly, run and exercise. I try to push my own training to be as in shape as possible...to be balanced and have the right "mental" attitude. I am new in this sport, and far from where I would like to be....however, to be a effective partner for a horse I have to pull my weight (quite literally)...lol
Any thoughts, suggestions from the experienced riders out there on a physical/mental/regime?
Chris
