[RC] Steroids in TB racing - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I read the same articles, and had the same thoughts on this in terms of TB
racing. I ask because I have a 2 yr old TB colt, race bred, and want to do the
best for him.

I have a question, I had heard, read, that Secretariat was 'raised on'
steroids, which is one reason he was so muscled-up at an early age. Is that
correct?

I know there were a lot of questions, issues when he went to the stud barn, in
connection with the steroid use. Or was this vicious rumor?

Unknown. But the TBs racing on anabolics are ceretainly in the majority and
racing on corticosteroids is near-universal--and joyfully encouraged bu the
AAEP as "normalizing" cripples.

Unless you want to get involved in the meat grinder that is TB racing, sell
your TB and stick with a more pleasant environment.

Note: They hate me a hell of a lot more than RCers do. When big money is
involved, things get hot, quick. RC is like a pleasant breeze in comparison.

But most of "my guys" race drug free. Very easy to find in the racing form.
