[RC] Transition from snaffle to S-hack questions - Beth Leggieri

Hi ?

Would like some feedback on transitioning a horse from a short-shanked snaffle to an S-hack.  What helped with a successfull transition?  Training processes used?  Length of time for the horse to adjust, etc.?

My horse has worked with contact with a snaffle.  For obvious endurance reasons I want him to be in a bitless mode, but he is clearly frustrated with ?no contact??leaning forward to find his contact and then finding nothing!

Also, I?d like to know about wrapping the noseband and what?s worked for those using an S-hack.  Did the vetwrap approach work?  Or did you have to go to sheepskin wrap?

Thanks for suggestions and feedback.
