[RC] Preferred water temp for drinking - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Hey, I think those studies about horses preferring 40
degree water were probably done under normal weather
conditions. If you are using a tank heater, the horses
are probably happy to have warmer water in cold
weather. I once had to haul hot water out to the stalls
in winter while I was waiting for outlets to be
installed for my bucket heaters. The horses LOVED the
hot water I hauled from the house: "Oh, here's the
waitress with our coffee..." Sometimes I still give them
hot water as a treat when it's cold (or mix some in their
pellets so they get "oatmeal" instead of plain feed.)
