Re: [RC] Eastern High Sierra Classic - Carol Suggs

I agree with Kathy!  Go thru Yosemite and take Tioga Pass.  It is a very beautiful drive.   Pretty curvy in a lot of spots and you can't go fast thru some of the hills, especially with a trailer, but its a nice drive.  We go that way when we attend Mule Day's in Bishop, much nicer than us going down to Bakersfield and cutting back over.

Also, check on getting a season pass to the park.  It might be cheaper to do that instead of paying entry when you go thru each time.

Subject: [RC] Eastern High Sierra Classic

Hi Ridecampers:  I am going to the Eastern High Sierra Classic in Bridgeport on 8/13.  I am leaving from Moss Beach, CA, just south of San Francisco.  Can anyone recommend a driving route?  I am considering 50 out of Sacramento and taking 4 and 89 south of Tahoe to 395 to Bridgeport.  But I see that I could also take 4 out of Stockton across the Sierras.  I haven't taken any of these roads, nor been to Bridgport for that matter.  Any Northern Californians have any experience they can lend on traveling to Bridgeport?  Thanks..Jean and Chi (please give directions to my mom so we can get there without taking the long way)
