[RC] Mesquite Beans as Forage - Ridecamp Guest

Please Reply to: Jenny Powers jmpowers@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
==========================================

A friend's horse foundered as a result of eating mesquite beans that had fallen
into the pasture from a nearby tree. Her vet said they are not only very high
in protein but also in sugar. Though plentiful in AZ I am unaware of anyone
making a practice of feeding mesquite beans to their horses.
