[RC] re: heat rash on lower legs - Cindy Collins

Nicole: That became a problem for me, too, as I aged. It was a pretty
bad burn. I started using the Body Glide on those areas of my legs and
then bought the new breathable Ariat Terrain half chaps and that cured it.
Cindy

Knock on wood, I don't really have rubbing problems.
What I do get -- at least when I was in So Cal -- is
heat rash on my lower legs in hot weather (even on
rides of only a couple hours). It's pretty painful
(and exceedingly unattractive), although at least for
me most of the pain is later after I'm done riding. I
started using the store brand version of Gold Bond
medicated powder on my lower legs and that took care
of most of it.
