[RC] Women OT but very on really - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

As distance riding women I think this very on topic.

We need to know this and I don't know a doctor that understands.

I had a Total Hyst. verticle incision because of 3 prior c sections.

and a large mass including ovarian cysts. Have a good surgeon first.

Prepare your house with lots of fruit juice and green veggies.
getting everything working after surgery without strain is a big plus+.
be in your best physical condition going in, and walk alot as soon as they let
you. take lots of short walks.

take as little pain meds as you can, know the difference between just sore and
really hurting. work thru a little soreness, stop and rest if it hurts.

I fed 4 horses day 4 after surgery and fixed dinner.
I hitched the old mare to the cart at 2 weeks and
was at work full time at 16 days.
rode easy at 3 weeks, did slow 3 hours on the trail at 4 weeks
(control top panty hose, belly band and light control panties are required)
take everything controlled and easy. you know how to pace yourself thru 100
miles of riding
you can pace yourself thru this.

over doing things will set you back terribly, note a bad strain at doing
anything can litteraly drop your insides out.

there's about 200 stitches inside you don't pull them.

afterwards you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner, 2 1/2 years later i feel
great.

oh one thing it's hard to keep your weight down. but if you are riding and
eating pretty good it's not to bad, you feel so much better with everything
else. you laugh when you walk down 'that isle' in the store, haha, never
again.

Good Luck, enjoy, the future is great!

you can look up a site for hyster sisters, beware though they aren't distance
riders, basically a bunch of wimps IMHO, but alot of odd and end questions can
be discussed there.
