[RC] Need help with a mare stocking up - sindy mccosker

I need some advise......

I have a 6 yr. old Arab/AQHA mare that I have owned since "before" she was conceived. Yesterday I noticed that her back legs were stocked up from the hock to the cornet band.  She is out on pasture and seems healthy otherwise. No cuts, bruising, hooves clean, lameness, etc.. Just the FAT legs in just the rear. The only change in her diet is that I started her on some flex supplement 4 days before.  She has had some popping in her hocks and I thought it might help to get her started on a flex product and see if it helped with her joints.  The product is Majesty's Flex Wafers (MSN, Chondroitin, Yucca, Glucosamine and Vit C).  I called the company and asked if they have ever had any problems like my mare is experiencing.  She said that maybe she has a shell fish allergy and to discontinue use of the product, which I did.

Any other ideas what might be causing the stocking up?????

Sindy
