RE: [RC] Calvalry/Calvary - Mcgann, Barbara

No, no...its just that it was amusing that the person who corrected your spelling then spelled it wrong, too!!  Thats funny!

Laura...the reason your spell checker doesn't have the one to do with horses is because it is spelled cavalry.  It doesn't have two L's in it....the L is just in a different place!!   Cavalry - mounted army.  Calvary - Religious term.

I apologize for spelling it wrong - my spel checker only has the word without the second L.

I have to add, that riding calvalry, for those that asked, is a crazy person's way of reaffirming that they are nuts.

Besides the normal 100 miles stuff, I had at least 25 pounds of extra stuff- grain, dry beet pulp, food for myself: Gu, dehydrated fruit, some bar thingys -Odwalla Super food is the only one that tastes even palatable, and even a tuna steak (they sell them preseasoned and precooked in little foil pouches-great source of protein) carrots, electrolytes (even I am not die hard enough to try that heat without elytes), two 16 ounce and one 20 ounce bottle of water, a collapsible dish sized bucket (sold for dogs- takes up less room than the bucket sized ones) and some other stuff I can't even remember.

The best part about being pulled is that ET got to eat a whole ride's worth of food in one check!!  SHE thought it was pretty neat to work for 25 miles and then hang out and eat.
