Re: [RC] synergist - Stacy Sadar

I too have taken dressage lessons in my "western endurance" Synergist and the instructor was impressed at how balanced I was in the saddle.  She had to ride in it just to see!  And found it to be very correct.  Others thought I was nuts saying that I was taking dressage lessons in a western saddle, but it proves my point....very balanced and connected with the horse.

I have a Synergist and love it. At first I did not love it and sent it back to have the stirrups moved slightly (less than 1/2 inch) forward and then I could sit without a hollow in my back and if my horse made a quick stop, I wasn't thrown forward with my legs swinging back. They were great people to work with and they only had the saddle a few days before it was sent back to me. I would recommend this saddle to anyone.

I had taken dressage lessons for about 6 years, moved and sold my dressage saddle. I started taking lessons again from a European instructor who took one look at my Synergist and rolled her eyes. She didn't think she could give me any kind of lesson with that saddle. Well, she was totally impressed. She said I had the best seat in that saddle than any of her other students. It really is a "western dressage saddle".
