I have to admit that I would prefer to do the last item (ride him), but
I would like a 100% sound horse. As well, I want to take him on endurance rides, and I am not sure if I would be pulled. Can anyone give me insight as to when they pull a horse for this type of abnormality?

When you point out an abnormality at the pre-ride vetting and it is noted on your card, then if there is no (or minimal) change throughout the ride, it won't be a factor in getting a completion.

On the other hand, if there IS a change, especially involving pain, you'll never have a better chance to get a good diagnosis! Just let the vets know that you are willing to pay for an examination when they have the time.
