[RC] Ouch (Tight Rear Muscles) - Val Nicoson

How does one avoid tight rear muscles when one comes
into a VC? Do you not sponge your horse and strip the
tack before going to the vets? (Which I can see if
you bring them in slowly just before the VC). Is that
also a good reason for having a rump rug...to avoid
those tight rear muscles? If there's a line up
waiting for the vet... what do you do then? Walk the
horse in circles while in line or wait until the line
goes down while walking the horse away from the vet
line?
Is this a problem for experienced horses as well as
horses entering the sport?
Thanks...Newbie still learning,
Val
