I'll be right there with you supporting that concept!  More good dog breeds 
have been ruined from breeding for the show ring.  And many of the show 
Arabs are a joke.  Interesting article in the latest issue of Arabian Horse 
World about Sheila Varian and her old gelding Lightly Bey V.  He might just 
be laughed out of the show ring.....big-bodied, sizable feet, relaxed and 
quiet.  I can see why he was gelded.....wouldn't have fit the show ring 
mold.  But Sheila has made him into a working horse that she can use to rope 
calves.  That woman has to be a remarkable horsewoman and trainer.
