I am very fortunate in life. For many things. One is that I was just 
able to acquire Lon Clearwater's old trailer.
You may not know Lon, but he was a good friend of Virl Norton's, let me 
ride Jazeel in the Tevis to a 5th place, an avid ride and tier, a real 
good runner even at his 185 #'s and a fun loving  guy.
I have been after this trailer for about 4 years, as it is all aluminum, 
three horse, bumper pull, well built and from Lon.... very well taken 
care of.
I got it because he has just retired his last horses to our friend, 
Byron Grant in Arroyo Grande. Sorry to say we talked about it (the 
trailer sale) at Bernice Callen's memorial, but then that makes the 
trailer part of Bernice too in my mind.
Some of Lon's other horses were Bigun, Moose and Cowboy.

Hope that Lon and Leah continue to crew henceforth... steve shaw
