[RC] Cuyamaca update, part 1 of 2 - Nancy Reed

If you are interested in reopening the Los Caballos horse camp at Rancho  Cuyamaca State Park (California) now is the time to get a short email off to The gov-a-nator, Arnold and other California elected officials.  Currently a state bureaucrat has proposed to relocate the horse camp due to the presence of Native American artifacts.  The Back Country horseman of San Diego feel this is a smoke screen and that the camp will not be reopened.  You may or may not know the October Fires 0f ’03 did NOT destroy this campground.  Only the caretaker’s cottage and public restrooms were destroyed.   With the current budget problems, it is ludicrous to spend public money on something that is not needed.  For more in formation go to the Caballos del Sol web site and review the letters on page 3 of the Nov/Dec newsletter.  Here is the link:  www.granitehillsdesign.com/COS/news/Col5-0142PDF      If this does not work go to the main page of the website and click on the Nov/Dec newsletter in the upper left.  Here is the link to the main page for the BCH chapter   http://www.granitehillsdesign.com/cds

Continued in part two with the other side of the story.
