Re: [RC] Sleeping in a GN - Jim & Drin Becker

I glued cheap carpeting onto the walls and ceiling of ours, and laid a piece
of plywood on the floor of the GN, with a 4" piece of foam over that. Sleep
in sleeping bags. Best sleep I've ever had, as long as the horses don't
rattle buckets all night.

Barbara ,
What type of glue did you use to glue the carpet up ? Two years ago when I got my new unfinished GN I insulated the LQ with the foam sheet insulation which was real easy to do and then screwed on a plastic type wallboard that is used in bathrooms instead of wood and the stuff is now cracking because it could not take our extreme weather conditions here in MT . I thought it would work well as you could bend it easily for the rounded ceiling part where it meets the straight walls but I am now considering replacing it with either carpet or wood paneling . Thanks
