Re: [RC] camper or LQ? - Cheryl Ann

I have a mid-size truck (Dodge Dakota), w/ which I pull a two-horse trailer
(no DR). I can't use a camper, even if they made one that would fit (my
truck is a Quad Cab, w/ only a 5'3" bed), as I have to haul hay, etc. What I
do have is a truck tent, and although I may not be too comfy in very cold
overnight camping, it sure beats sleeping in the trailer. As for onboard
'facilities', I just bring the little porta-potty, my camp stove and folding
sink. My tent has an awning, to which I rigged up a tarp, that I can close
off to make an extra room with. That is the 'powder room' and shower area.
Works pretty well, but sometimes I sure do wish for a self-contained setup.
More so as I get older.... : )
