Goethe, depending on the trails you ride doesn't have a lot of sand.
When the Goethe ride was run out of the Tidewater camp (southern end) it
had less and than now when it run up at the northern end of the forest.
In fact out of Tidewater it had very little sand.

Osceola (Gator Run) has very little if any sand.Piney Pig has very
little sand. There are plenty of miles or trail in FL without sand. I
think how you ride in the sand is more important than the fact there is
sand.
I was told on a ride once that it is better to canter through deep sand than
it is to trot...and better to walk than trot. Any thoughts out there?

then
again maybe I am just use to sand and don't think thats a lot. You could
go
out and buy a lot of sand and just keep riding back and forth. lol...
