[RC] RE; pipe stalls - Claire Nystrom

The stalls at my vet's barn were made of the pipe panels and the barn
was very nice with great air circulation. However, I would be careful
with any stall walls with any type of slats in them. This summer, a
rather nutty TB freaked out in his stall where I worked, got his leg
stuck about 5 feet up where there were slats between the boards and
was hanging by his leg. I was unable to pry his foot loose so had to
saw the board off to free him. Fortunately, he suffered no major
injury, just some cuts and swelling and was fine about 2 weeks later.
This was a scary accident though, and I was fortunate to discover it
just seconds after it happened or it could have been much worse.
