Re: [RC] gaited horses- long term soundness - Peter Harper

Subject: Re: [RC] gaited horses- long term soundness

That's pretty much poppycock. A good horse is a good
horse and poor horse is a poor one. There are good
gaited horses and there are poor gaited horses. There
are good trotting horses and there are poor trotting
horses.

Well said Truman!

With Mike's help we pulled the AERC records for TWH's.

There are a number of TWH's that have enjoyed very
long successful endurance careers. There are Walkers
out there with 3000+ miles and 10+ years in endurance.
Considering their low overall percentage of horses
competing they are well represented.

A good horse is a good horse no matter how they move
down the trail.

Cheers,
Pete gaited fanatic in TX
TWH w/ 260 miles and still gaitin
