[RC] Pommel pack question - Linda Dewees

I just went for a ride and attached the pack up tight with the velcro fasteners, and it was better. The pack didn't rest on her withers, but was more out of the way of my hands. I feel a little sheepish for needing help with that one. I didn't think the velcro would be strong enough, and besides, there was a dee ring right in the same place. Couldn't get the pack up as tight with the dee rings though. I had wondered what the velcro was for! I used it some times to hold my reins when I need two hands for something.

Since you helped me with that....what about the long strap that (I guess) you criss cross around the pack ... why? To compress it?? It's kind of in the way and doesn't do much that I can tell.

I haven't had any trouble with zippers opening, in fact they are a little stiff. I haven't stuffed the pockets very full though. On mine there are cord pulls on the zippers with a black plastic thing on the end. On the pockets that have double zipper-pulls you can put the black end of one pull through the cord loop of the other and it "kind of" holds them together.
