[RC] Red Hills 50 awards (unoficial) - ottowyHere are the standings from the Red Hills 50 and 25 that was held on May 6, 2005.
The weather was...... I quote "awful, horrible, terrible" from a few of the riders. It
started out lightly raining at the start at 7am and then become a downpour at about
10am and get coming all day long. There was no award ceremony because people just wanted to get dry and warm. So....Ralph and Wally congrats!! You won Best Condition!
In the 25 all started, all completed!! Yahoo.
Started 17 in the 50 and 5 pulled due to deteriorating conditions and one rider was thrown
and unable to condition. But, Dorothy Sue ponied her horse in and deserved the coveted
Humanitarian award.
Only got 4 rigs stuck in the mud and had to jerk them out, but all in all it was endurance
riding at its best. Good horses, bad weather and riders that never give up. That's my
kind of a weekend!

9. Phyllis Arnold on Prince (still has no tail)
10 Maureen Jewell (total trooper........in the driving rain most of the ride)
11.Cindy Wagner (total trooper.......in the pouring rain most of the ride)
