I used to feed dog food to my GSDs and back when I had a senior, I fed it Science Diet Senior, thinking I was doing him a favor. Ground peanut hulls was a main ingredient in it too. I think it's pure filler [as some senior dogs have weight problems, but are still "hungry"].  But maybe there is some nutritional value to horses?

some of these old horse traders in my area make their own horse feed and use peanut hulls in their mix.  anyone heard of this?  is there any nutritional value available to horses from peanut hulls?   cowboy ed
