Re: [RC] SMB Elite sport boots - heidi

I keep reading in magazines about the Professionals Choice SMB Elite
boots. THey are supposed to "absorb and dissipate more than 26% of the
negative energy from hoof concussion." And also provide "360 degrees of
protection and support for tendons, ligaments, and connon bone, fetlock,
and soft tissue."

I don't see them often on endurance rides. Is it due to heat? They are
thick looking, so thought they may retain too much heat?

Not only do they retain heat, but in the presentations I've seen at
veterinary meetings, movement loosens them just a tad, to the point that
after 10-20 minutes of work, they are no longer providing any measurable
support. Super product for barrel racers, calf ropers, etc., but purtnear
worthless for what we do.

Heidi
