"... and I know

I rode with a woman who has BLM mustangs & one BLM mule. The mule has a very bad attitude even after a couple of years in her experienced care. This person was told by BLM personnel that it was a mistake to adopt out the mules and they hadn't heard of many successes with them and wouldn't be doing it any more. I don't know if that is the official opinion or just that one person's opinion. But when you think about what type of donkey has the determination to try to breed a mustang mare on the open range it might explain the resulting mule's attitude as well.
