I strongly believe the papers always belong to the HORSE. If you do
not give the papers with the horse, you are giving them a "death sentence"

Unfortunately it is the human that gets the
papers, not the horse <g>. And to some people, those papers have no
value and may be lost along the way... or as in the case of the local horse
trader, may wind up in his drawer to be "matched" to some horse coming through
his hands. Being good stewards of the papers honors the horse
IMHO, but I have to agree that papers will not always 'save' the horse
from a death sentence. Pam
