[RC] ADEQUAN I.M. - vet question - Ridecamp Guest

Please Reply to: Debbie Linebarger MARDEBLINE@xxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
==========================================

I have a young horse in training and my ferrier has suggested that I use
Adequan I.M. I have not heard of this drug before and do not know if it is on
this list of drugs not to use. Also, what is your is thoughts on this. Any
information would be helpful.
My horse is growing very fast and I have not had any problems with him other
than a sore back at times, when he is going through his growing stages, and
when that happens I stop riding him and let him get level again. He has just
turned 5 and is now 15-2, and not finished growing so I am not pushing him at
all. We are not planning on doing any limited distance rides until next season,
I want to be sure that he is finished growing and in balance before we start. I
am taking him to rides to let him get used to the energy levels and riding him
when there is an into ride on the second day.
Thank you for any information you can give me.
Deb.
