[RC] Easyboot Epic use without the heel strap - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I know some of the barefoot endurance riders are using the Epics w/ great
success. I am wondering if any of you have tried using the Epics w/o the heel
strap. I ask because I have been using the epics on my horse for a few weeks
now on his front feet and have decided to get them for his hind feet. I have
had to cut the heel strap down for his front feet as I could tell the strap was
rubbing him. I cut it down 2 rib widths and am thinking of cutting it down
another one or possibly two as it is still rubbing. I did get a set for his
hind feet. He wears a 2 in front and a 1 in the rear. The only way I can get
the 1's to fit is to take the strap out. That is why I am asking if anyone has
tried using the boots w/o the strap. If so, have you had problems w/ the boots
coming off or the gaiters ripping.

Thank you
Kim
