[RC] 2005PAC: the final loop - John Teeter

This is possibly another one of those horse races that happens at
championships. Lots of
top horses running with top (and very comnpetetive) riders. First out was
Johana Fort of
Uruguay. Followed maybe 2 minutes later by Miguel Pavlosky of Argentina. 2
minutes and Diego
Ott of Uruguay (who had the lead all day till now). 20 seconds later, Mercedes
Tapai on
RAS Kasal left, passing Diego before they got out of sight. Josefina Chas of
Argentina and
Cia Ries of the USA were maybe 2-3 minutes behind. Daniell Kanavy/McGunigal is
finished with
her exit exam and is ready to go.

Luna Llena looked, as I mentioned, interesting as she went out. kind of the
South American
rolling canter - covers alot of ground w/o alot of effort. Mora Tigre looked
strong and
confident - Miguel, who has been riding in pain since the first loop
rollover/crash is a
very game competitor! Baraka Bint Shahkar looked a bit tired as RAS Kasal moved
by him
with that springing gazelle gate that we saw in Dubia. I don't know JC Farid
that well, looked
game and had lots of forward motion - Wave looked like "here's another race to
finish" determined.

We'll see what happens...

at the other end, Madyia and Diego Sanchez and Meg Sleeper are bringing up the
rear. Yvette Venton of Canado is also back there. they are all in to the 4th
gate and ready to go out on the green (5th) loop. ... yikes,
Daniel just FLEW out of here -- ready to try to catch front runners! First time
I've seen Flash Flame - greyhoundish in form - and fast ...

more in a bit.

jt.
